MULTIPLY MEDIA GROUP
Multiply Media Group, formerly BRDRIP Media, is a small business with huge plans. Multiply started off in August of 2017 as an idea. We launched in January 2018 with just one artist. Since then, we’ve gained a total of 7 artists and 15 clients all together. Now, here we are in 2019 with some new ideas, a better approach, a wider understanding of our business, and more dip on our chip. Let’s see what’s in store for 2019.
Before we even dive into the projections and plans of the current year, let’s discuss our re-branding. There’s was much speculation around the pronunciation of the name. At meetings, we would always refer to BRDRIP as “the company,” which now is something we laugh at when we’re at the board room table.
Let’s not mention that fact that BRDRIP makes no sense. But we needed a name change, and fast. Prior to BRDRIP, the name of the company was quite possibly the worst name for a professional business besides maybe a daycare. Yes, we’ve had a problem with identities.
Multiply comes from the team’s love of math… and Ed’s music playing during our September meeting. Namecheckr had diminished our worst fears and throughout the entire floor, you could hear the sighs from letting go of our so tightly held breaths. We’d done it: we’d found the perfect name for our booming business.
After many debates, we decided to add and subtract a few things. Ditto and Checks and Balances was born. We’d found a logo template and a few flattering colors. And then we put it all together.
